Living Life in Quarantine Day #2

Writer's picture: Angela McMillanAngela McMillan

There is just so sleeping in during quarantine. The knock on the door at 7am that sounds like police are about to storm through and perform a raid does make the waking up process less than preferred. On the positive side, I will never need to set an alarm.

The goal for today will be to get into a routine. It is hard not to fall into "holiday" mode since I am inside a hotel room. As our memory is trigged by situations, being here makes me feel like I should be lounging around but I do not have the luxury of going out for a walk to take a break from it all.

I have created a schedule that sections out times during the day where I am working on tasks a bit at a time. It is like I am back at school.

Morning routine:

  • Keeping my regular morning routine of black coffee (hotel instant sachet 😳)

  • Making sure I do my journalling for the day

  • Get dressed as I normally would

  • Make sure the room is tidy

  • Get my check list sorted for the day

Had a great quick virtual HIIT workout followed by a small stretch.

Received a package of chocolates to keep me going over the coming weeks.

As more people arrive the internet is getting extremely busy and the connection is not ideal at all but, it is better than none at all!

Great productive day of work and some mind body exercises.
